The puller wouldn't work for me - it got stuck trying to get it over the lump at the bottom of the 2 spoker. Arse.

Maybe it was the engine vibration that caused this ?

Mine came off with some serious pulling around... its kinda funny i gave it a really good tug and nothing happened, and i needed to move my car otuta the drive to let my mum out, left the nut off coz i thought well it aint gonna come off easily and when i was steering back in it jus popped off in me hands lol. Think its coz i was pulling it 2wards me slightly as it was turning so it worked it off gradually all the way round? worth a try.. cheaper :P

4mm steel plate shaped slighty into a hook shape at the bottom. then connected to a slidding hammer.

DONT hit it with a hammer like most ppl tend to say - the column is collapsable - i learnt the hard way :

Apart from using a steering wheel puller , what would be the most effective way of getting it off ? |
