unless you get the 1.4 to have a 15-20bhp advantge over the vtr you wont be beating it, even then it will be close but not worth the £1k + required to achieve it. | |

we had a massive debate about this before, i came out with this point of veiw, if you want some thing fast and insurable get a vtr as they handle better and are faster and are actually quite good looking. the thread other than that lost the plot | |

All depends what VTR. Phase 1 VTR's have 90bhp so I'd guess an inlet, de-cat and remap would make a sport as quick. No point in doing it against the Phase 2 VTR though, might as well get a 1.6 sport and try to make that quicker. | |
