Awesome signing and he'll be fairly cheap (relatively speaking)... good buy if they go for him (they won't!)

not as if barcelona are going to stand in his way, they want shot of him and the fact he only has a year to run on his contract is a brucey bonus.

quote: Nothing to do with a work permit, he obv had one of them or he wouldn't have signed in the first place. La liga rules state that any 1 given team can only have 4 non eu players and field 3 of them at the 1 time.

3yrs (maybe 2) in Spain gets you a passport if you apply, not sure if he has or not though. He would get a work permit anyway as is playing for his country which is in the top 70.

yes, Riquelme got the chop also, Saviola has been playing from Spain for over 4 years so maybe he would be EU registered.

The non eu players rule, or has he got a spanish passport yet maybe? they got shot of him and riquelme, think of the strength in depth when you add those 2 to what is probably already the strongest squad in European football.

Yes, I can't see why Rjikaard doesn't want him at Barcelona, loaned him out to Monaco, then Sevilla and even Sevilla fucked him off. He's one of them strikers where he's on fire if he plays every match he's fit for, if you start him one week then keep him on the bench the next he's not good, you need to keep him playing all the time.

looks like arsenal are in for him, superb buy in my opinion. A lot better than all these guys being touted about just now that have had 1 good season under their belts then invariably fade away, hes keeping tevez out of the Argentina starting 11 for a reason! |
