Right rallye has been sold so looking for new car this weekend, Narrowed it down to Clio 172, Ibiza 1.8T 20V cupra, Pug 206 Gti.

Seen 172`s on W plate for £8k with 30-50k on, similar with the ibiza, Astra 2.2 SRi for 7-8k as well, The 206 seems to be a little cheaper on same year/miles.

Anyone got any proper performance stats on these, not the bull sh1t parkers ones ive just been looking at

Strengths and weaknesses of each car?

Will be probably be keeping it standard.

Thanks.

Ibiza without a doubt. It's what I drive, all beit the R version.

Keep £500 spare and get it down to a revo dealer. 10 mins with a laptop on it and walk away with it around the 220bhp and 210lb/ft mark.

Not bad from a book std of 156bhp.

206 build quality is to be questioned. also the normal GTI is 137bhp, so it is not that quick.
Don't like the interior on the clio's so it would be the Cupra IMO

Either the Clio or the Ibiza..

As the renault is built like a biscuit tin, then go for the seat..

Yes mate, just remaps the ecu and tweaks the boost like you say.

It's also totally undetectable to the diag computers etc, but can also be reverted back to stock and back again using a little black box they give you. Handy when you take it to the dealers!

Also look great in black with a nice set of rims!

If I was getting a cupra though, I would probably go for the blue, but they didn't make an R in blue.

ibiza cupra is a much nicer car IMO and can be made silly fast with relatively little effort

plus there are the advantages of VAG build quality

my mate got his revo'd and they claimed it now gives him 220bhp, the fact that he doesnt really get far away from my clio would suggest otherwise
