GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
bought a digi cam afew days ago & the bloody thing wont let me transfer the pics onto my pc. when i connect it it makes a noise to acknowledge it but it can never find the device
its a kodak cx7430
its goin out the window any minute
can anyone help me out here? idealy with the same camera.
am i doing anything wrong?
oh & ive read the manual which is useless

Matt you running XP???
Have you installed the drivers all ok , try reinstalling drivers.

dont think you will have any more luck of it connecting if its out the window - thou you could try

yeah its xp
installed the cd that came with it 2 times as 1st time there were some errors
havent had anymore error messages this time but it still isnt recognising that the cam is plugged in (but it still makes a noise)

matt go on kodak.com, register & download the latest EasyShare software
reboot & then plug in the camera while its turned off & then when connected to PC, turn the camera on - DONT plug the camera in while its switched on or it wont work
should 'hopefully' work

the software in the camera on the cd is probs about 6 monhs old or more
mine was version 2.7 or something & the site had 3.x on it

Have you tried going into My computer and double clicking on the camera connection icon, if there isnt one then theres a connection problem.

Plug lead into camera with it switched off and the plug into usb socket switch camera to auto then you should had some options, I think it is the third option you should use.
