I've just ordered my Nokia 6100. I was tempted to buy the camera headset for it at £49.99 but couldn't decide if it was value for money etc.
I know it has no flash and is low-res, and I'd need a data cable to download the images to my phone with - and dunno if I want a little 'loosable' camera in my pocket all the times - especially when out etc.
Has anyone got one and has a good opinion of what its like etc - value for money, quality etc.
Also, can you take the hands-free bit off and just have the pop-port and the camera wire and nothing else? Or do you have to cart the whole lot around?
Cheers peeps.

I've got the Nokia camera! Had it for my old 7210, I didn't really use it much but it was quite kool! It cost about 40p 2 send a photo I think and my phone bill is big enough as it is, so didnt send many pix!
The little camera is on its own bit of cable which plugs straight into the pop-port on your phone.

Are they USB data cables Muchie? I take you can upload wallpaper, operator logo's etc. Does it also unlock it, download camera images to the PC etc?
Does the 6100 have caller group icons or images that come up when somebody calls?
Thanks for all the help guys - the camera's are now £49.99 to buy new - I'm still tempted.
Do they work at all at night?
Thanks for the WAP idea too - thats well handy!

I got mine from O2 - £69.99 for phone (last week is was £169.99!) 500 mins, 50 x net, 500texts for £20 a month.
I was on Orange but they could'nt match it. Im on Virgin EQ on Orange so will keep it and use my old phone as a backup on its own contract (that has no line rental).

I still want one, but not sure if you can't download the photo's via the data cable - I ain't ever gonna use MMS!
What exactly do the data cables do?
Unlock?
Operator Logo?
Caller Group Images?
Wallpaper?
Is the one's you can get for £6 the USB official one? Becuase you can buy the third party serial ones off of eBay for £4.95.
If you can download the camera photo's to PC via the data cable I'd have one but if you can't I can't see them as being value for money. Hardly anything in the mobile market seems to be to me

I saw your post Drew - like I said I would get one definitely if I could dowthem but as you said you can't I'm no thinking there not worth it.
I'd sooner have a small Nokia Cam to take snaps etc when I'm out than carting a more expensive digi-cam around with me despite the lacking flash and quality, but seems like the digi cams a far beter option all round.
Thanks Muchie and Drew for the answers

But you need a IR sender/receiver though don't you?
I've seen these for about £30 but I can't see any option being worth it just for uploading when like Da Munch says you can do that via WAP.
