James no, Dyer yes. James is too risky, even after todays decent performance. He's overdue a nightmare!

Dyer is and always will be better than most current England players when 100% fit.

I agree, his commitment today was immense! Even with a fucking great gash on his leg he was bandaged up and played on.

It's all about haircuts, have a gay 'do' and you put strikers off all day long.

Calamity in goal - If hes the best we got you really do need to ask questions.
Its easy to have 1 good match but consistancy is the key to being a world class keeper which he isn't.

Just got back from todays game and from todays performance James should be in the England squad but not quite number 1 choice!

Kieron Dyer? The boy is an absolute talent, remember he is the finnished article, Lennon and SWP aren't.

dyer is a great player but unlucky as feck when it comes to injuires.
i mean his last injury, he was in training weaving between some of them plastic poles and one of the poles hits him in the eye.
i mean how unlucky is that!

Take it you dont like Newcastle much? Parker and Dyer would walk into most Premier League teams and should certainly be part of the England set up

Thing is with James, he's been playing like that all season... he really is doing well for Portsmouth esp. when you consider its a new team and new defenders as well!

True, but i'd still rather have Carson, Robinson, and probably Kirkland. Not much point in old blood in the team as sqaud players imo.

Dyer and Parker are better than some of the England midfielders currently in the squad - ergo they should be in the squad.

If dyer maintains his fitness he is a far better prospect for England than both Lennon and SWP

Granted Lennon has far less doubts over fitness but in terms of ability he isn't a better footballer than Dyer

They all (Lennon,SWP,Dyer)have pace, they are all pretty skillful on the ball, if your were to seperate them for end product I think Lennon is your man.

Would personally have Carson over James as less likely to make a mistake when the pressure is on (and even when it isnt).
Dyer, if he proves his fitness, is probably better than some of the current squad players so deserves a place IMO. But he is far from being a starter.
