Well...
Take 1 x
A lot of these:
Come away with this:
Oooh and prob the best bit about it...
VW Golf GT TDi
PD130 remap that to 178bhp & 265lbs/ft
18" RS6 Wheels
Koni -40mm Suspension Kit
Lots and lots of service history
Some bits need tidying up to make it perfect, will sort them over time but main thing is I have a wedge of cash towards my house deposit and won't be spending £70 on V-Power per week just to get to work anymore

Really like MK4 Golfs! Better than the TT
Since you've changed car due to a buying house, does that mean this won't be a full on project?

It shouldn't be but... I'm watching an R32 front bumper and trying to find an R-Line rear bumper, needs a few bits sorting as I said but giving it a wash today I think the rear needs some 10mm spacers to sit the wheels in line with the arch.
But no full on project planned

Sounds a bit promising to me
Good luck with it

Who mapped it? With 178bhp it should be about/over 300lb/ft!
Looking good anyway! Needs lowering more/smaller wheels though

it's lowered enough tbh. can't see how lowering it more will make it look better really? would just make it look broke.

Maybe tried to keep the torque below 300 lb ft to save killing the clutch
Average is around 170bhp and 280 lb ft

no it shouldent, may be it has quite a flatish torque curve not just a torque spike that last 150 rpm or so
280ft lbs is about avrage as Mertin already said.

Snap I sold my astra coupe turbo for the exact same reason (£60 a week fuel to get to work and back) and bought a Golf Mk4 Gt Tdi 130bhp.
Now fill up once every 3 weeks instead of every week plus I prefer the golf

A good map should see 300lb/ft at around 170bhp. RS Tuning say their stg 1 maps make 163bhp with 405nm (298.7ft/lb)

What tuners say and what people get tend to be a different thing, besides, my mate took his for a remap and got them to slightly reduce what they could give it to save the clutch being under so much pressure.

All I know is it goes pretty well, produces torque well through the rev range and not just a short spike so I'm happy with its map.
New leather gaiter arrived today, current one is worn and was making interior look old so will freshen that up a little tomorrow.
Reg documents come from the DVLA to get the private plate off and back to previous owner, so fresh plates made tomorrow.
Just purchased myself a new HU as already missing the iPod, opted for...
Pioneer FH-P80BT
Hopefully arrive so I can fit at the weekend.

Good base, get it decked on the 6s though, makes them look tougher.

Radio fitted and working brilliantly, just waiting on a new facia coming as the tabs had snapped off the reverse side so waiting on Pioneer shipping the new one out.
Gaiter fitted and really freshens up the interior no more worn scabby vinyl.
I decided to polish the boot today:
Polished so hard to get the swirls out, the bloody Golf and GT TDI badges fell off:
