Sup Guys!

Picked the car up last Tuesday from a garage in Mansfield Woodhouse. I went down Friday, Sunday and then Tuesday to pick it up! Tuesday couldn't come quick enough!

Anyway, first thing was first. Say goodbye to my old C. Absolutely LOVED this car. Original plan was to ZLET it - I just couldn't justify the 3K price!



Now onto the VXR, got it bog standard, even on the 17" wheels, which I'm a little dissapointed with as I wanted the 18's but it's nothing that I can't save for so it's all good. Few of the car:







And my new home:

Already put a fresh set of plates on and a vxr grill badge. Plans are to get the 18's, drop it on some coilovers and then get a louder exhaust for some pops and bangs. Also ordered a pipercross filter, which should give a nice sound.

Great new motor mate! Do like these in red, hope you pick a different wheel choice to the norm. Don't go Vxr.

Dread to think how much your insurance is, your only about 15

Nice looking motor, but I'd only put super unleaded in it, with all of the horror stories you hear about piston 4 cracking.

I think these are great - have been considering getting a Nurburgring version instead of my Vectra recently...

You'll be able to overtake my c easily on the motorway now
Don't get a crazy re map and piston four will be fine

Don't think im having it mapped yet. Apparently stage 1 is fine, it's when you need to start upgrading the injectors the chances of P4 going is increased.

Sister in laws boyfriend has the same, but with anthracite 18's and I think remus exhaust. Sounds lovely, especially with the dump valve.

Thanks Ben.

I've got a pipercross filter on it atm that gives it a bit of noise. 18's are on the cards though!

Me too, and Chilli Orange. The 'Ring edition looks best in these colours IMO.

Missus won't let me have an Orange one though, as her LE is that colour. Plus, we'd look a right pair.

I really wanted a black one! think they look so mean! Would have any of the colours though! They're all lovely.

I think I'm right in saying it's fuel starvation that causes piston 4 to go I could be wrong though !

Yeah it is. When people map their cars too much and don't upgrade the injectors lol
