I have heard in the past that APEX dont lower as far as the stated value. Is this true, because i was thinkin of usin 40mm springs in my 1.0club, with 17s and i reckon it wouldnt rub if it actually stayed at 40mm and didnt go any further.
Also are SPAX springs good??
Thanks

I would agree that apex DO NOT lower as much as stated..
since i took 17's off and put 16's on with apex springs does not look 40mm...

Agreed, i got a APEX springs and shox kit -40mm, had it one a few weeks, then swapped the springs for G-MAX -60mm, looks smart got 17's and the tyres are tucked right up in the arches!!!, had an engine in the back tuesday night and the alloys where tucked up in the arches and no scrubbing LOL

no, the 60mm springs look 60 at the front but about 30 at the back, put it this way my pi 35mm springs sat lower at the back.

you got to take into account engine weight also
these springs are std across all the corsa range yet a 1.6 16v will weigh a lot more at the front than a 1.0l 12v

true, i got the heaviest corsa lump so thats probably why mine sank a fair bit at the front, apart from that they are gash, far too soft, probably alright on a 1.2/1.4 but not what i got, but i dont care cos the corsa is going soon anyway

I had the -40mm springs , lowered about 25-30mmm at the rear, was probably a bit more at the front.
Now got Bilstein full kit and its a true 40mm, maybe even a little bit more

Mines on Apex springs and I must admit it's not amazing low on the back, although the sub box has helped a bit...
Fronts have always seemed ok though. Still gonna save up and get some coilovers though
