I was with Norwich Union before. They charged £15 for alloys -- no real limit on mods as such but they did charge about 10% of their value. They HATE performance mods -- lowering, etc...
My Tesco quote wasn't too bad but I still got it £400 cheaper at HIC...
Which is why I went with HIC....

i can't go with HIC cos i'm only 17 and they won't insure under 10's so i was told over the phone. The only reason i'm askin is cos i heard that norwich union only allow 3 mods max, which ain't no good really, with alloys, lowerin, exhaust, etc. Are Performance Direct any good ??? with pass plus ??

I would hope not!!
Tesco aint too bad, didnt charge us for lowering, tints, and covered us for 1000 quids worth of stereo stuff as standard on their policy with no extra charge. They charged us for alloys and performance mods only and charges were quite reasonable.

They told us lowering wouldnt cost a thing and they sent us a new certificate with the mod declared on the policy. Didnt cost us a penny! Wheels cost us 50 quid i think.

i e-mailed norwich union for a quote for a few things and they replied with this.....
"We usually charge 10% per modification - up to 3 modifications
allowed (anything over this is classed as a kit car and we dont insure
them)."
