I want to see i have have a similar problem or if i have created a new one!!!

P.S. mnie dont work and when the wiring was changed at the switch the wires started smoking + melting together!!!

Can have switch on all time - neons dont work
Switch as a switch - neons dont work
Other way of wiring and wires melt

Either a short or a VERY bad problem with the transformer drawing loads of current and melting the wires.

Think its Max power. Bought them off my mate(still sealed in packaging).

Asked another mate to have a look and says its done wrong but thinks the neons might have blown.

Going to see what the deal is on wed, fingers crossed i dont have to buy more neons!!!!

I have had the same prob in the wet where the furthest tube from the x-former was only 1/2 lit.... but only in the wet.... problem was condensation in the tube no no probs.... Streetwise/Max power kit.... Also dont run the neon wire close to the fuel pump as it affects them.... good connections r vital.... i got these stright through crimps which we use at work which have no insulation...... Crimped the neon wire, filled it with solder, self amalgamating tape, fiberglass tape and finally heat srink just to take no chances

Well today was not good. Nothing was connected for the neons but when i was out driving they started melting and had the most amount of smoke ever. Stopped the car(middle of road) hazards on, bonnet up and i see sparks . I have no tools or cloth to help me, I was rather worried. Evenually got them seperated and my dad came down with wire-cutters, cut it next to battery so had no chance of power. Due to the fuse being at wrong end of circuit there is a chance the neons have blown!!

I have cut + removed all connections, going to start again on Wednesday and hope the neons aint bust.

I now have 3 out of the 4 working. Just the back one to sort.

It don't work at all, also one of the black boxes at the end rattles when you shake it, the tube looks fine tho. Any ideas?

Do u guys think it would be ok to have 2 "glow job in a box" tubes from neoquip on my sides and move my current 2 max power tubes from the sides to the front and back.

Think you would notice a difference between the brands?
