my car recently failed its MOT and i thought okay shouldnt be too much to sort out...

until vauxhall phoned me back quoting £535 for what needs doing! so anyway i was thinking fcuk that... spending over £500 on my 1.0 12v but then i had a good idea. shove another eninge in there!

i dont wanna go for a 2.0 cause it costs too much and i dont wanna have uprate other things. however will i get away with putting in say a GSi engine and keeping my suspension (lowered 40mm on PI springs) etc? how much am i looking for the engine, and how much to install it? and where would i go about doing this? please help cause i need to sort it soon! cheers

Your car would be fine in your car, you might want to think about fitting some bigger brakes, but thats only cheap.

The better your brakes / suspension the more you will get out of what you have.
