Last week I ask how to do colour coded arches, so I did it how people told me 2, thanks, I thought I did a good job in getting rid or the dimple effect and could not c it any where. I primed 4 or 5 time then put 3 coats of paint on them once that dried I lacquered them up and I though I did a good job looks great. But once I put them next to the car the was a bit brighter then the car colour! Any ideas plz?

Try adding more coats of the paint colour, this will darken it,

this will only effect it if you dont stick enough paint on, it shouldnt matter wat colour primer you use, at the end of the day the metal is all the same colour and this doesnt effect it.

mate, u have to wait a while for the laquer to harded before you do any more sparying, then try maybe rubbing the paint work down ligthly and respray it with a new paint can, i had the same problem on my body work, it came out a gray white in stead of white, i used a new can and it was fine. when i colour code my bumpers and arch they where sigthly brigth, but they do fade and i pollished my car a few time and it look ok now.
try doing what Greasemonkey said to do, t cut will dull the paint work because it will take the top layer off.
hope that helped
