do they get you there and then? or do they send a letter in the post? i was in a company van doing 46 in a 40 and there was a van round the corner with its back doors open with a camera, will i get fooked?

Yes, but as they said on Top Gear on Sunday, in the last 5 years the rate of deaths on the roads hasnt dropped...and the goverment has made a profit of 700,000ish (Cant remember, but a fooking lot)
Now you tell me why they do it. Saving lifes my arse.

Thing is you say your job is driving yet you have 6 points! I like to put my foot down when safe yes, everyone does but I'd be ever so slightly more careful If I had 6 points to my name nevermind if my job counted on it...

starkmotorsport: Dont get me wrong, alot of the forces do use it to make money, an example of this is on the A77 just now. The road has an excessive speed limit of 40mph in areas which is totally uncalled for.

Irregardless, 46 in a 40 is a no no. I'm sorry. 41, 42 maybe even 43, but 46..... come on. And as for getting bored, and having to look at your speedo to stay at 70mph....... this only highlights your driving abilities. Jesus christ, it aint that hard not to move your foot!
Regarding 46 or 40.... the same damage bla bla bla.
I remember reading over the past week, possibly on here, possibly not though.... that the driver was told that if they were driving just 5mph slower, the casualty would have survived  .
His job revolves around the road..... whoopa doo. He should have more experience of avoiding getting caught! or at worst SLOWING down. Suppose to learn from mistakes, not keep doing them.

And just for the record, i drive for about 2 hours on motorways n shit to go to uni. And yes crusing with the traffic is very mind numbing! No doubts about it!
