I just downloaded a video off the net of a 1000BHP (according to caption on vid, i have no proof) Dodge Viper doing 50-110 mph in about 4 seconds!! Anyone know anything more about this car?

I was very privileged to drive one 3 years back at Snetterton (part of a marketing freebie I was gifted  )
These things are animals - so much torque it's actually scary when you boot it. No servos on the brakes either - you need a powerful right leg to bring them to a halt quickly Handling was nothing like the other cars we drove that day - quite wallowy and imprecise. But it all adds up to the experience

Sums up american sports cars doesn't it? Lots of torque, but cant go round corners.

Well when you think it america they dont tend to have many corners, most stuff is straight roads and the corners that are there are like traffic light junctions and shite. American sports cars have always gone on the lines of straight line power, and in that they have bucket loads.

I just watched the high octane 4 dvd that I downloaded - and at the end they have a viper Vs. a ferrari 355 racing through these rocky mountains and oops - the viper falls off the edge of a corner literally!
