Not sure what I am asking here but I have bought an mp3 player and I want to play mp3s in me motor, I have been told I can store loads more mp3's on a disk rather than normal tunes the question is how do I do it? Do I need specialist software, cd's or is it the way you download them ? please help so I can sort it out for the weekend many thanks Paul...

...niiice so what mp3 player did you buy in the end?
Basically you have a phones output (or line output if you lucky) and if you headunit has a pre-input you connect it to that using a jack to phono cable. You headunit might also have a aux input, which can be in the form , pop you of a jack socket (in which case, get a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable) or use a special connector (on pioneers have a an IP-Bus) which might require a special box or cable, which can cost anything from 10 quid to 100
As for the mp3's, you basically get a ripper like CDex pop your audio CD in you pc and rip the tracks to mp3. Also the higher the bitrate (from 24kbit - 320kbit) the better the quality but also the larger the file, so therefore more space taken up on your mp3 player. Then its a simple case of copying them to your mp3 player via the software/cable that came with it
Hope this helps mate
edit: if you have a mp3 headunit, then its a simple case of copying the mp3's to a CD-R (or CD-RW) and popping the CD in the headunit

Right lads I have done it and have about 97 tracks on the cd its copying now but it looks as though there is only going to be one track should this happen or will it automatically space all the songs out so I can skip betweek songs or have I done something wrong, I suppose its a process of elimination when doing something like this so if I have done it wrong this tiome I will get it right next time thanks a lot, Paul...

huh?!
looks abit fooked mate
you should have created a standard DATA cd, not a audio CD. But wait to see what happens and wack it in ya player, if you get 97 tracks then sorted. If you get one track, create a new DATA cd and copy the mp3 file to it.
