Well just checked my coolant tank and yet again its completely empty! Goes from half way full to empty about every 250miles of driving.

Never seen any water marks on the ground after being parked up either.

I had my head gasket replaced about 30,000 miles ago so i'm hoping its not that again!!

Any suggestions what else it could be?


Also my automatic choke/idle valve control is going a bit stupid too. When ever I come to a stop it revs to about 2000 for a few seconds then back to 1000 (normal idle revs for my car).

either gonna be leaking hose somewhere or head gasket i reckon

check all the pipes and can't find any leaks either

looks like i've had a bodged job done on my head gasket as surely it should last longer than 30 000 miles.

mine was completely empty yesturday too, wierd cos my car still never got hot so i just filled it up, i have a small leak though but im not too fussed with it.

sounds like either water pump is shot of the head gasket

check your oil. if it looks like brownish like foam it is in your oil. check the sensor on the bottom of your radiator also. you are not alone who had problems with this.

who did the headgasket? was the head skimmed?

Was done by one of these mobile mechanics while my car was in the bodyshop.

The head was skimmed
