Hey people, need some serious help tuning my 1.4 16v sport.

Just had new head gasket and valve seals yada yada. Fitted a PVD BFO cone which sounds great. What else can I do??

Its an ecotec engine, can I get a power boost valve for it?

Just ordered -40mm springs and a strut brace.

Cams...

I think the car is a DOHC engine. Any idea on how much a cam kit is too buy?

I know you have to add the extra $$ for fittings, but Im more interested in bare prices right now.

Dont bother with power boost valve cos ur running the same injectors + fuel pressue as a 1.6, just a different map (chip).
Search for "inlet manifold", "de-cat" and "throttle boddies" if u want more power.

look at my picture it replaces about 2foot of inlet trunking and 450 degree of bends in the intake to create a short straight run for the inlet charge, get them from Courteney Sport mine cost £585 and fitted it myself

Around 450 notes for a total recondition. Luckly its under warranty from the gargage I bought it from, so they were paying for it.

It carnt be that quick these engines are good for gaining BHP but struggle with gaining tourqe a 160BHP 1.6 GSI will only just be as quick as a 2litre one and still might be behind then would lose out top end, whats ya mate had done

9K rev limit shit that ought to do it LOL so he aint got throttle bodies???? if he wants to optimise what his got he should run throttle bodies and stand alone managment they will cope with the cams better

9k limit! must have pistons as rods in to do that, and on diblias inlet? Nuts, TB's (real ones) would be a much better option.
