Is the mfd supposed to show the date all the time cos wheneva i start the engine the date goes off? is that normal?

have you changed your radio from the std vauxhall radio? if so you need to cut the remote wire on the main loom of the radio.

isnt it a grey wire whit a red stripe?

i aint sure bout the temp sensor but the date bit is being turned off by the remote wire from the radio cos the olf vaux ones show the radio frequency there, so just snip it and tape up the ends. its a blue wire with a white strip normally. its comes from the back of the radio. (if your amp is on it then cut the wire after the join)

isnt the blue or blue/white wire from the radio the remote for the amp? if so then its not the same one i assure u - dont cut it

i have just cut the blue one worked but no amp so i connected it again lol

yes the blue one does control the amp but as i said if you cut it after the join you will ba alright as it also supplies power to the original radio circuit in the mfd. try it and find out and if you do it right, you should find everything is cushdy!
