Need to get my amps power cable thru into my car and in the maxpower haynes manual it says it can easily go through an existing gromet?

Now im asuming this is the round black thing from the inside, and it points out with cables going through it in the engine bay?

So how do i open this up to get my new cable through??

Cheers!!

just thread it thru, from the engine bay into the cabin.

remove the battery for easier access.
its right below the exapansion tank.

i secured the amp wire to a chop stick then jammed it underneath the gromet and just thread it through. Simple! I didnt pierce mine either. Thought it was sealed for a reason.

Finnaly got the other cables thru the otherside, but whilst doing that, my handbrake decided to come off, and as my car is on a slope, it gradually proceeded to move forwards into my house, big dent in bonnet, broken headlight bracket, and broken bumper bracket.

Great, just an excuse for some new smoked headlights and a bad boy bonnet now lol, but not got the money till febuary

i used the gromet which is on the drivers side, at the top left of the engine bay, seemed alot easier to do that than take all the battery and that out. power down drivers side, everything else down passenger side.

they fit grommets to stop the wire chafing on the metal bodywork and causing it to short out, really should have gone through it

no need for battery to come out if u feed it from the inside out! just pokes out behind the header tank, then u just grab it

but if the power cable has an inline fuse, u'll only be able to wire it into the cabin from the engine bay.

unless u fancy pushing the fuse thru the grommit...
