requires good amplification to make it sound good. works better of the pro logic stereo rather than out the back of the DVD players. just waiting to get an AV amp and we are away

yes it is an active sub but the sound is beter through a pro logic amp. AV going for a Pioneer VSXC301 for £159
got the front speakers from the Awia system. not the ebst but will do for the now. going for Gale 3060 rears
will upgrade the fronts at some point though.
quite like these ones

Good amp I was very close to buying that same one but i went for the Sony STRDE485 instead. Are those Gale 3040 floorstanders?
I am running the Gale centre 10 centre speaker (wank but it'll do for now), Mordaunt Short MS904 floorstanders, and Mordaunt Short MS302 rears. Havent got the amp yet though, waiting for the postman to arrive
Gotta spend about £100 on just cables and interconnects Still no point having good kit and bad connections.

I'm not spending much on cables. 99p a m will do. yes gale 3040 £199. need a slim line amp. as for centre. wil wait and see what it;s like. I have the rears from teh TV and the centre one also so going to have a few speakers

I'm spending a fair bit on cables, i've heard first hand what a difference good cables make and its definately worth it. The Gale 3050c centre will go nicely with what you've got I need to replace my centre really but the two Mordaunt Short ones on offer are either really small or really big in size And i wanna keep it all to one manufacturer, plus i like Mordaunt Short for the nice white cones
