Firstly i have the Trojon Bookmarker virus, Norton finally deleted it today but its since come back. How am i going to get rid of it?
Secondly, I bought a web cam today and it will only light up in the USB port that i use for broadband. Neither the modem or the web cam will work/be acknowledged in the other USB port. Is there a way of checking if both ports are active?

Throw your PC in the bin and buy a new one, that should solve the problems you are experiencing.

Play nice.
The Trojan might still be present in something you've downloaded in the past. That'll obviously need deleting.
The USB question - do other USB devices not work in the other ports either? They either want turning on the BIOS or physically plugging in the board if they've never worked.

On the USB ports, it could be that the devices are pulling too much power to be used in anything but the primary USB port (not all the ports pull equal power if they're all in use, priority is given to the primary port).
Does it work if you plug the webcam into the 2nd port, but leave the broadband connection unplugged from port 1.
My simple suggestion, however, would be to get either a router for the broadband connection, or if you can't afford a router (and if you're using ADSL not Cable), then buy a PCI modem...
