i have just been to no less than 5 motor places !5! and noy one of them has a steering wheel puller

and the guy at halford said undo the nut then hit it with a hammer! the centre couloum bloody idiot
can anyone say collapsable steering coluom - pillock-
i know some ppl have do that im not gonna risk it thank you very much

Yesh i did with a hammer as well, ol man hit it i pulled!!

But it's not summet for someone who works at a shop to say imo.

puller is best bet, just make sure it dont break the plastic ring & electric contacts at the base of the wheel or your horn wont work ever again!

i used a rubber mallet on mine, while trying to use a puller (before i chopped the wheel off with a hacksaw), and the column now has quite a bit of play in it & i nae hit it that hard! Still, was gona replace that too, so don't matter that its fudged!

ad if you can get a puller, if your doing nothing that night/next day, take the nut & ring off the steering wheel, get a can of WD-40 and absolutely cake the column/wheel with it & leave it overnight, then try the puller on it next day, might help free it up a bit

and i aslo noticed how vauxhall are tight bastids and not painted the inners of your car

i remember when i wanted to get the wheel off mine, loads ppl told me that u cudnt get a puller for the corsa.....apart from Vaux.

I cant remember but the exact reason, but there was 1.

I used a piece of wood and levered it off, with alot of help from my bro helpin to pull at the same time.

It can easily be done without a puller, just needs a good tapping and pulling by hand.

aye i know, think its same with all vaux's!

will be sprayin it all up inside when the rollcage is fitted so aint too bad, least there is already an undercoat
