hey,
i have been offered a boot lid fully smoothed using a FULL FIBRE GLASS SKIN by a pro bodyshop all primered and ready to spray for £160 deliveried.
do you think thats a good price?
also i would have thought that the fibre glass would crack if you slam the boot, will it?
cheers guys

best bet mate, get it done properly and get a plate welded in cost ya more, but then again your 160 quid fibre boot might crack within a week, so it'd be worth it

Yeah I would say get one of those, fill behind it with expanding foam, smooth it onto the boot and away you go, nice result for cheap.

Well surely if its filled properly behind there is no way it can just give way and start moving, and if its smoothed in properly the joins wont crack.
The only thing I can think is that you mean the actual skin will crack but then again wouldnt the expanding foam hold it in place??
