I came home this morning and there was a gritter doing the roads and he hit my car i was going the other way. Have i missed something? is it freezing or has it been freezing?

It was probably raining at the same time!!!
I could understand if it were at the weekend. Around here the roads are far more likely to be gritted on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (and often all three). I'm sure it's because the crews get paid more at these times.
