early morning or late arvo the lights softer,most car mags take the pic front/side on and rear/side on have a look in some mags and copy there style also try to aviod objects behind the car like poles and trees and what type of camera are you using

dont take pics while standin up

need to crouch etc to get some good angles

dont take pics with the sun in front of u

which makes u take pics when the shadow is at the front of the car

faraway but zoomed in is quite cool too

oh and late noon/evening light is better than morning light which is too bright
