or looking at getting a nice new crx del sol/scooby

Crx del sol was gonna be 3k's worth, my car needs to be sold for reasons I don't wana discuss

I said I might wait until next year to get a scooby I will have paid off alot of this debt by this time next year (as it's 2 loans for 5kish each now) this is why i won't consolodate.

I will be earning more money this time next year and will have alot less debt, I will be in a better position than most who buy themselves a 'newer car' now as I live @ home and will be for the foreseeable future.

When will people realise student loans are not debt in the normal sense of the word.
If you cant pay it back you dont pay it back

[Edited on 15-01-2004 by barry_kellett99]

they are still debts and are taken out of your wages when depending on how much you earn.

also my main point of that is the three overdrafts that he has, which he will eventually pay interest on.

FAir enough on the Over Drafts, but the amount of loan paid back each month is Minute, i pay £60 back a month currently and i borrowed appx £10K in total, university cannot be done without.

What about hardship loans? They dont be paid back do they? Although i am unsure i never had one

still £60 a month being paid out

hardship loans. my mate was given about 500 and loaned 700 more

im not in debt....well if i am, its only about 100 quid with my fokes, so its all good for me although im skint as a tit though need to get a job, but halfords looks gay and tesco's dont look much better Anyways, i hope you lot get ya debts sorted and what not and im not looking towards my uni either - its making me think twice about it.
If i go to the one i want, LIPA, my course is 8k a year just on tuition fees since its a private course, so i wont get any help from the government I worked out that i will have a debt of about 40k atleast, after living, fees etc For 40 grand that would get me a nice car, a lotus or something, or turbo me corsa and get insurance for a few years, uni's a joke these days

Hmm seems like everyone is in debt. I'm not bothered at all by my debts. They are well under control and will be sorted in a couple of years. Besides anymore debts that i do accumulate will just be paid off as part of my mortgage or something in the future.

BTW i am not the worst off in this thread, not by a long way. Although HSBC just inexplicibaly doubled my credit card limit

Plus if needed be i could sell my car and pretty much be debt free Best way!

I put £40 and the company matches it.

I got a very good pension scheme, it was non contributary until this year and it's still on 2.5% of my wages (and they give me loads on top), I've also been on pension scheme since I was 17

i started a pension about 6 months ago. pretty good scheme too. i pay 3% of my wages into it every month and the company matches it, so i effectively get a 6% pension going in every month. not bad for working in a supermarket

you gotta have a pension these days cos when we all retire the state pension is gonna be fuck al or even worse non-existent
