I might redo my cc interior. The silver looks a little tacky. Anyone got pics of a black job that's not standard?

Mine's getting done all in black, eventually!

All of it, literally......maybe, will probably change my mind again before then!

I'll be strpping it out this weekend and attempting the arches again. The interior is going to be black I suppose - all of it.

it depends very much on the colour - vibrant colours always look gash if u put too many of them together - or too much in one situation -
However Kenni for exaample used a lot of red - which could have been a mistake - but he then broke it up with silver and it looked

Just outta curiosity what type of prep and paint did you use?? painting plastic is a nightmare and wont it eventually peel off??

diff grades of wet and dry..
then primer
paint
primer
paint
etc.
then laquer at the end..
sand inbetween primer etc..

all halfords paint/primer/laquer

theres a guide on ere...

panel wip dash
sand with 100 gritt
spray on a bonder layer to make paint stick and seal plastic
prime
sand with 400
prime
repeat EIGHT BLOODY TIMES to get it smooth
3 layers of top coat again to get it smooth with sander with 1200 now
then t-cut afterwards

all my paint had flexible additives in it too

it will NEVER peel off in a million years, used 2 pack paint and primer

Did want to paint that ring, but If i did i'd mark it whenever I need to get to the dash. Ive got an alloy dial surround in the dash, and the steering wheel's silver, so it kinda makes up for it anyway.

Yeah its a neon, although i only bought the one from Maxpower last year . Its actually only a slimline 4" neon, but its bright enough to light up the footwell nicely. Not sure what the led ligghts are like, but i cant imagine them being as good a light source as a neon TBH.

Yes they will, 3 or 4 leds in each footwell will be as bright as this, can push it even brighter too..
