I am not critising the car you twat. I am questioning why people think it is so great. it's slower than GTi's today, does not handle as well, has less toys, etc etc yet people go on and on about them.

granted it broke the mould when it was launched but by todays standards its a poor car.


as for nothig bad to say about puntos I do have opinons which are not the best

The modern GTi is wank... I think the MK1 was miles faster! It's a car to be proud of 2... Bit like owning a piece of history!

I would love 1 as a project... not to modify but to restore to concours sondition, expensive mind

top gear did 500m test of the mk1 gti and the new gti

the mk1 won by quite a bit
