Me amd my mate were going to do my suspension at the weekend, but didnt have the right tool apparently. So does anyone know what the name is of the tool that it used on the top of the suspension arm (im not sure on technical names!) that allows you to release the springs? We axed vaux, evenm showed em diagram and they just said they didnt know!

not spring compressors, already got them. found a way around it by using a deep socket and a spanner, gonna have a go this weekend.

front was a dropped ring spanner and an 8 mill spanner.

u know if its 17 or 18mm spanner?

think its an 18 but it has to be really dropped and rather thin, as to get around the bolt. good idea to just loosend it 90 degrees while the strut is still bolted to the car just so you can get the leverage.

just been told i can borrow my mates dad air gun with the right tool, hopefully that should get it off! (Same thing they use in the garage)

i used a landrover box spanner with a big spanner round this and a socket with an allen key bit in it.

the only bloody size spanners i done have, 16's and 18's an vaux decide to use them!
