Bit of a lame one
I need to change the bulbs behind the heater dials - how do I get the panel off?
I guess you just lever it off with a screwdriver?
Just thought i would ask first before I broke summat

there is lots of screws, buy a haynes manual.
you have to take out the entire center console, its a bitch to do.

the heater vents, pull them down to reveal 2 screws behind, undo these, remove MFD, pull off the knob for the sliding heater control and prise off the panel there is 2 more screws, thats all i can remember there might be other screws but it will all become obvious, you gotta unclip all the heater cables at the back, its a nighmare getting them back on!!!!
good luck

It's not so hard.
do what greasemonkey says. you don't have to unclip all the cabels just unscrew that white plastic and there you can replace the bulbs.
and yes there is not a lot of space behind
look in tutorials&faq - interior modifications, i think there are pictures of how you do it
