Keep running i guess as much as you can, eventually your stamina will increase and youll be able run further, aslo do you eat or drink anything before you run???

Run 1 minute walk a minute.
Keeping doing it for 10mins or so. Each time you complete it. Next day run that little more

Its just a matter of time, perserverance and effort. You just have to run or train regulary, stick to the same route / routine and keep upping the bar everytime. You wont notice it overnight but within 2 weeks you see a definate and noticeable improvement.
A friend of mine was in the Royal Marines for years and he used to go out for runs while he was in the Para'a and trying to get into the marines, he would have a set run he would do every night he could and he would jog for 10 clicks. At the beginning he said it was quite hard but soon enough he was doing it with ease and then he eventually built up to sprinting for 100m then jogging 100m for the 10 clicks, which, at first seemed really hard but after a while he found it easy!!
You'll know you've pushed it too far when you start to puke.

Get up early and go in the morning at dawn. Thats what I do sometimes. Plus because you havent ate anything for, say 8-12 hrs or so your body calls upon its fat reserves for energy alot faster than it would at night time.

Listen to me giving advise on how to get in shape!, I must be the most lathargic, lazy and uncommitted person when it comes to sticking to a training routine.
Every month I train for a week religously, sticking to the pattern ive set myself, then in the 2nd week Id miss a day or 2. Then the third week comes Im lucky if I do 100 curls and run 2 miles. Then I get paid again and its an almighty bender which undoes any of the good work ive put in.
Its just I dont play rugby anymore and its hard to stick to it when your not playing regulary.
