Such an ugly scripting system! Really is doing my head in! Much prefer PHP, but the host the school is with don't do that

I've set myself the task of making a complete gallery system for the school website, and considering I've never done anything in ASP before, I'm not looking forward to it!

Mind, have a rough version done so far, very messy code, but does a 'simple' job!

Anyone know any decent tutorial sites for ASP scripting?

I'm in the same position, I'm used to writing in PHP but we have some stuff in work that needs to integrate in to the Windows 2000 domain so I've got to host it on IIS.

Very sloppy code!

I've got an Apache server, thats where I'm building the MySQL tables, using MyODBC to get to the data.

The authentication sold ASP to me, it basically makes identifying users very easy. Its enough to have convinved me to go that route, sloppy being that it is.

i dont feel that ASP is that bad, fair enough it doesnt run as fast as php but its fooking easy to understand and write code in it. Also if you know VB then you know ASP and visa versa really, then again if you know C then you get the idea of PHP i suppose
Anyways mate, have a butchers on www.pscode.com Also if you need any help mate, give me a u2u or msn me or at worst email me and ill get back to you with any help etc

also: www.asp101.com
