LOL, I had to add those bits in else the answer would have been no!
Im still the only one with a 1.6 though....
Yours should be pretty dam quick when its done, what sort of power are you expecting?
I think Andy said his best time is 14.7, although he should easily beat that.
What car did you do 12.6 in?

Eh me?? (wakes up behind keyboard ) - Miles is right. My best timed (official) is 14.7 Should be lower now as I have LSD in and stripped out interior. I've also ditched the power steering and when I've mucked about with the induction system, should have more power as well. prob is on the Quaife box I have, there's a very long 1st gear, which doesn't help a standing start. My guess is that Miles would be quicker then me up to 60ish as though he has 10% less power, his car is lighter by more than 10%. However, I suspect the extra power and torque would give me better in-gear acceleration times and would make me quicker at higher speeds

What torque do you have mate?
I got 142.7lb/ft last time I was on the rollers, it was the same time I got 199bhp so I dont know how accurate it is....
With an LSD and a lot less weight you should be knocking a fair bit of time off.
Do you have any idea how heavy your car is?

146lb/ft at 6100rpm - your figure sounds pretty much spot on. I'm hoping that with the longer air horns, I can make over 150lb/ft Car's about 870kgs, though haven't weighed it since ditching all the PAS stuff

Mine was 810kg's before I fitted the cage. Have lost the V6 brakes and fitted the wilwoods since then though.
What length trumpets are you going from to?
I think my peak torque was made around there as well

Just to clarify, if we're going to take the quickest cars from here to a Redline day then they're going to be Corsas.
Patricks Astra, Ricks Nova, and every other Jap thing, sorry, not today.
Sounds like a good day anyway. We could do with flying the flag again where quick FWD stuff is concerned.
Are you inviting any Saxos after last time or are they chicken now??

SetH> Are you calling me an imposter?! I didn't go on the thrash, but a very quick white Corsa rings a bell.
Adam> There's no-one called 'dan b' on the mag. I think you mean Davy's (green) Corsa, used to be owned by Renton. Yeah, I've driven it round Bedford and suprsied plenty of supposedly 'faster' machinery in it. Much fun!
As I said, anyone who seriously thinks they have the fastest fwd Corsa (or any other 'griffin' for that matter), drop me a mail at:
