The best one is Competition Valve Lubricant (CVL). Added to a tank of Optimax, boosts octane above 100

I have a bottle of Millers CVL in my hand - One 250ml bottle treats 25 litres and raises Shell Optimax from 98.6 to 100.4 RON. That's 1% addition for nigh on 2 points - costs around £2.50 to treat 25 litres, i.e. 10p per litre

2points = 0.2 be twenty points to get form 98.6 to 100.4
To get that with std cellulose thinners it's 10%mix (ish)

No - you're wrong I'm afraid. These additives don't raise RON rating by being of a higher RON themselves. They contain manganese cyclo-pentadiene, which actually changes the way the fuel burns, by reducing radical propagation. A few mls has a big effect - hence the need for only 1% to raise RON by 2 points
