only thing that makes no sense
x14xe/x16xe - same gearbox,
but 1.6 has 140mph clocks
limiter in 4th in 1.4 = 100mph, 1.6 = 105
yet same!

138 today by sat nav and 135 is on speedo. Not bad. For 1.4. Had bit done tho. Lol.

Hmmm..... raised the rev limit? Or did you mean 128 on the sat nav? I'd be extremely surprised if the sat nav read higher than the speedo.

bigger wheels
but corsa's dont have the power, even mates 1.6 on 17" stuggled to do 100mph, with 15"s 125-130 (on speedo)

I agree, as standard that's all they can manage on the flat.
Downhill or modified (new inlet etc) is ok though, and there isn't much further left until the limiter is hit anyway.

i had 120 max out of my old one! no chance a 1.6 16v with a few mods can go 135 as the rpms to the ratio of the gearbox wont allow

Mine read around 123mph.... Down a slight hill, wouldn't give anymore.
