The answer to that Marv is to buy a new transponder and a non-active immobiliser with a new key.

Costs about £200 from Vauxhall

Lee, you are a genius.

I need to discuss dates with you for bringing the car down, I've got a few more bits and pieces to get before the engine can go in, should have the parts by the end of next month.

You can use your shafts and hubs on the conversion as well as engine mounts.

mounts will be the same and so will the shafts. if yours is spi injection u will need mpi fuel pump and the end of the fuel lines that bolt to the fuel rails as they will be different to yours

the fuel lines on spi corsa are blue then go into a bigger rubber hose then into engine. held by a clip. where as mpi corsa are blue lines then into rubber hose but they have a 17mm and 19mm nut union on the end so they bolt into the fuel rails. so u need the end of the fuel lines that have the 17mm and 19mm nut unions

When i changed mine from a 1.4 8 v to 1.4 16v i had the same problem with the imobiliser. I had to put the whole dashboard loom along with the imobiliser from the doner car into my car to get it to run. Bit of a pain but that meant i had the new loom allowing me to fit leccy windows and mirrors aswell.
