right, im looking into insurance on a CRX for next year. but i cnt seem to get quotes or if i do they are extremly high. ive jst found out that the car is only a group12 insurance. so why when i try insuring an R5GT for example i can get pretty cheap quotes even tho its a higher group (14)

does anybody know why this is

the 1.6 VTEC. i wasnt surprised with the quotes but im surprised that its only a group12 so therfore surely the insurance shud be cheaper than an R5 and VTS/GTi etc.

think ive found the problem mate. i was saying that my car was a 1992, but ive found out now that the older ones stopped at 91 and that i was tryin to insure the newer CRXs by accident and they are like group15/16.

lets hope i can get these quotes lower then

Yeah I removed it as the year thing might be the problem. For the benefit of those not present when I posted it:

Insurance companies don't always adhere to industry standard groupings. The CRX of that type may be a popular theft of diffcult and expensive to find parts for. This would push price up.
