In english as i havent attempted to spray anything before. I'd like a list of what i'll need to spray it Arden Blue and a basic guide on how to do it. Gonna attempt it as it can look pretty good.

Get bodyshop to do it i say for a pro looking job , only cost a few quid.
By the time u got paint, sandpaper etc.. and the time uve spent, may as well of got it done properly.

I'd like to attempt it myself though. Thats an easier option yes but it wont be done by me that way. I'll put the parts to other uses like interior bits and eye brows and stuff.

Well to do lots of bits willuse lots of paint. To give u an idea of price, at the bodyshop i use i got :-
Door interior door handles, tweeter covers and mirror covers smoothed and painted. Vectra chrome handles fitted and my roof rails colour coded for £40.

Good price that. I'll start with the plastic rocker cover then go on from there. I'd prefer to do it myself as it'll be fun. Plus i'd like to start doing stuff myself rather than paying others to do it.

should just be a light rub down to take shine off it then 2 coats of primer,2-3 coats of paint wet and dry then laquer

Wet and dry - different ways of using sandpaper for rubbing down paint etc.
Water prevents dust contamination and helps make sanding easier.

use very fine sand paper (wet) on your last coat of paint.dont worry will not scratch it will smooth it make sure its kept wet though

Yes, but over time, i.e. 6 months or so ure paint from the halfords cans will go a bit crappy and the laquer will crack etc...
I spent absolutely ages on my boot lock surround and it was perfect for a while then it started cracking. Its still smooth but its cracked underneath. My m8 did his too and his has gone the same.
This is y i reccomend professionals. I could get a price for you, im quite local!

iv used halfords paint on my door handles, boot surround, plastic engien cover and they all bin on the car for 1 year and they are still good as new!
