Hi kerry I joined VVOC and posted up asking for advice and pointers on buying a veccy.

Looking for a sri or maybe super touring about an r reg...2.0 or v6....

Nobody replied.....

the only things i can think of off the top of my head this early is

when was cambelt and tensioners last done
check rear door catches for rusting (covered under somethin like 7 year vauxhall warrenty)

i think the thing is mav they are very clicky and not that welcoming to new comers in my opinion

but other than that they are a good bunch, although i have noticed that are not that well up on the technical side

have u tried www.vectra-sport.com ??

yeh mav ive only ever known things to go wrong similar to corsa's really

egr
idle air control valve
air flow meter

if u go to look at one just make sure its been maintained well engine wise and pop bonnet give it a tickle and see if u can hear any misfires

to be honest its the body work u need to look out for

nah not tried vectra sport might give it a go..want bodywork to be mint....

hopefully can find a good one...sri 2.0 would do if it's minted....seen a super touring but will prob be gone by the time I have the cash.

sounds minted too....
i'll not bother with vvoc for the moment and check it again in a few days and see if any replies....
