as above, i had my boot smoothed ages ago but havent sitted a solinoid yet so to open the boot u have to do it manually from inside? will this fail and MOT?

it wont fail but if its a moany tester he can refuse to do it

Yes it will fail if u cant gain acces to boot

yeah but thats cos there no door there anymore
j100rsa is correct him being a mot tester and everything.

mines failed on this! but then the other tester said it was fine as it is not an entry exit for passengers unless in an emergency as it can be opend from the inside, went to another MOT place and they wouldnt pass it fitted a sloenoid and he never even checked it

so i think it depends on the tester mate

i passed my mot without no solenoid on my boot.

i have a fair few spares kicking about
im always handy even if i dont have the part i know somone who will have one
