Rightio,
So for them an IHI turbo upgrade would be on the list of must do's.
I think on the Golf with KO3 the usual mods are chip, turbo-inlet pipe, sports cat, Miltek exhaust, N75 wastegate controller valve upgrade and a Forge or Bailey DV. This should give a solid 210-220 if set up properly.
Then it's turbo and intercooler upgrade time. The standard i/c is pretty small.

Sorry, no such thing as 'totally undectable'. If the insurers know where to look, they'll find it. Even taking the programme back to standard won't help. This has been discussed many times on the uk-mkivs.net forum, and really the only use for any 'switchable back to standard' features is so spotty techy at the dealer can't thrash your car when it's in for a service.
Tony
even VAG cant detect this modification
all they do is plug a laptop in and mess about with some computer stuff and hey presto 210bhp
my m8s got 204bhp with chip and exhaust so y aint 210bhp possible with chip exhaust and downpipe
not the downpipe, its a larger bore turbo intake, 210 is more than possible with these mods.
and you are a fool, VAG COm can detect all chips, has been proven to do so, You know fuck all.

If you get one, speak to Jabba Sport, can make some HOOOOOGE increases on power for the 1.8T like we're talking 450bhp + torque for around £2800.
Of course there are smaller gains for less money too.
would help if their conversions shown on the website were available though, i know several people that have been on the waiting list for months and have heard nothing.

N75J valve does fuck all, and i proved this on rolling road, i gained absolutely nothing at all. With those mods, im sorry, you wont see 220 bhp if its a 150 bhp K03 turbo. Ive got all that plus more, and im not seeing 220bhp.

newer golfs give better results with big valve head and VVT compared to the rest.

N75 valve 'sometimes' works, but some people do have problems with them, or no improvements. But it's so cheap that it's worth a go!

nope, decided against it cos i would only end up getting a loan to buy it!
gonna wait untill next year when my insurance is cheaper. Should be able to pick a mint Cupra up for around 6-7k then too.
