yes you can unlock them to use any networks sim card in them. but you wont have use of all the features as they are a vodafone specific handset. and it could also be a bitch to set up o2 GPRS and MMS on

yeh my mate had ti done, cost him £25 from a local phone shop, but it shut down now 
his o2 MMS and GPRS worked fine

you can get it done remotely too mate  Will set you back about 20 odd quid, maybe cheaper Just goto google and type Unlock Sharp GX10 and one of the results will be to do it remotely
