Hello.

Im bidding on an item with a reserve price.... i happen to know the reserve and placed my bid on the reserve price (£160). The item is still sitting at £84 with 5hrs to go.

What happens if there are no more bids till auction ends?

Do i get it for my 'max bid' ???

i expect that either you or the seller will have to email the other to decide on a price u r both happy with.

thats strange because normally when there is a reserve on something as soon as the reserve is met it will show the price.so if you have put £160 and it still shows £84 the reserve aint been met

bid sitting at £84 but AK's highest proxy bid if it keeps going up is the reserve of £160.

I think you should just email the seller and offer him the £160. Your bid will not go up to £160 until other ppl push it up with bidding.

sales out of ebay are not encouaged incase u get ripped off

if he dont sell it, but wants to sell u it for 160, make him but it up as a "buy it now" for 160 so if u get messed about ebay can take action

i had that prob, its ebay, coz they auto bid for u, place another bid for 161£ and it will go to that, because its higher than your last max bid
