taking the car down to darlington to have the exhaust fettled this morning, nice and steady like as it's still running in.
pulled onto the A1 from bradbury heard this almightly clunk,so when i pull off the slip road from darlington i take a look and find a nice hole punched into the gearbox inspection cover and oil me new gearbox oil on the road . .
must have picked something up in the tyre tread which has flicked into the gearbox ffs.
the car has only done about 10 miles from being finished get the valver put in. now all my cleanly painted gear box and engine bottom end are covered in oil.
getting it sorted tomorrow but farking unlucky.

my hols was in the gearbox casing, the gearbox had chewed up a driveshaft aswel so needed whole new rebuild
lookin back, i shudda just bought a 2nd hand clio 16v box frm cliosport for £100

tomorrow i hope,i took it to exaust-a-fit in darlo who are fitting a 2" ss system with a large middle box and janspeed ss backbox i supplied.

it seems the diff has fallen apart and shot through the top and bottom of the box,drove it back from darlo with no bottom on the gearbox . new f20 goin in on saturday.
