I might sound a bit daft 'ere..but..how do ya reset the ECU on a corsa 1.6i 16v Sport? Where is the ECU? And what are the benefits? Or can it be risky?

Any help is much appreciated

disconnect the battery overnight, connect it back up start car and leave it for 5 minutes most while it recalibrates itself

will it perform any better? or can it fcuk up? I am new wid this stuff ya c trying to get some basic ground knowledge! Cheers

will not mess up no
it could run better as all setting will be set back to standard, you will not get in and think god thats miles better.

Takes under 5 mins for the ECU's codes to be reset and it returned to default.
