right my temp sensor was playing up and reading all sorts of tems, i got a new sensor plugged it in and now it readd - - . - - NOTHIN is my MFD fecked

bastard. either firstly somewhere between sensor and mfd a wire has hoooge resistance. dicky sensor or dicky mfd. to prove not sensor wirring you need to remove mfd, find colour of wires that come from sensor and check resistance on wires when put ice around sensor. if changes resistance mfd at fault. if not sensor or wiring
