.........that if your car has been dropped by 35mm or more and u put on any 17s even with a 45 offset then they will scrape your 2 back arches only

ive been around to various car alloy shops and shop A said that it will scrape my back arches and they gona charge me to get my arches done and shop B said that it won't if its a 45 offset.

is shop A trying to rip me off by sayin my arches need doin when they probably wont even touch em but still say they've done em and charge me and is £45 per arch a reasonable price?

If you only drop it 35mm u'll most likely be ok.I know lots of people who've dropped it 40mm and they hav an offset of 45 and hav no probs. But some hav had problems, just depends on luck aswell.I'd said u'd b alrite.

depends on tyres as they have different edge shapes and also depends on how accurate the drop is

depends MOSTLY on the width of the wheel,

7J x17 ET45 or less will fit with maybe some minor scrubbing which can be easily got rid of by shaving the arch lip.

7.5J x 17 ET45 or more will not fit without significant arch work, cutting metal back, bending and bonding the archs on.
