How do i prep them.

dont know much about it but i know theres a sh*t lot of sanding involved.

get bodyshop to do it, they will just use filler primer to get rid of the texture.
I was told they wont want u to prepaint anything as they cant guarentee it and will just take it all off again anyhow.
You DONT need to sand the archs at all.

scotch brote the archs till all the top surface has gone.
palstic prime them, one or 2 coats (use the clear palstic primer)
then use a hi build primer and spray a couple of thick coats on, then sand it gently with 600 grit, keep adding hi build primer until the grain effect has gone. do not sand back through to the plastic.

how does bodyshops get rid of the textured but? do they just spray some high build primer on it and thats it?

lots of layers of high build primer yeah until they can sand it smooth without any texture showing then paint it.
mine were done like this and look perfect.
